Dorothy Browser is a Webkit-based mobile web browser from Company100. She was firstly released for the Windows Mobile platform at the beginning of this year. Now, the new Dorothy Browser for Android came with unique features and interfaces that will surprise us all. She is smart, fun, and simple to use.

People browse the web from multiple platforms and their usage behavior differs depending on the devices they choose to use and the purpose they face. After several months of observing and studying about them, we came up with the belief that the current mobile web browsing needed to be readjusted not only to the device per se and but also to the lifestyle that this device had created.

2-sided browsing Press the button on the left down side of the menu and the browser will flip taking you to the next browser page. Just like a card game.

Search it! Type the words on the start page’s white area and then click on the donut of your choice. You will get faster, easier and more targeted results with Dorothy’s donuts.

Blog it! Just type messages in the white area and then click on the donut where you want to feed. Dorothy browser remembers your account and password. Once stored, you don’t have to type it again.

Multi-touch pinch zoom Smooth, fast and responsive pinch zoom drives you right into the information you want.

Installation Guide

From Android Market Place

1. Search ‘Dorothy Browser’ in the Android Market.
2. Click ‘install’.
3. Once it finishes downloading, it will be automatically installed on your device.

From your mobile phone

1. Launch a web browser and then go to www.dorothybrowser.com
2. Click ‘Get Dorothy for Android’. The download manager will start downloading dorothybrowser.apk
3. Click ‘dorothybrowser.apk’ in the download list. It will be soon installed.
4. Click ‘yes’ for confirmation. That’s it. Dorothy Browser is ready on your phone.

From your PC

1. Launch a web browser, and then go to www.dorothybrowser.com
2. click ‘Get Dorothy for Android’. Then download manager will start downloading dorothybrowser.apk.
3. Connect your phone to the PC with your USB cable. Set Disk or USB storage
4. copy dorothybrowser.apk to your phone’s SD card
5. Disconnect your phone form PC and execute dorothybrowser.apk with a file browsing application such as File Manager, ASTRO File Manager, or AndExploer.
6. Click ‘install’. That’s Dorothy Browser is ready on your phone.

With the QR code

1. Launch a web browser, and then go to www.dorothybrowser.com
2.With a QR code scan application such as Barcode Scanner or ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner, scan the QR code that appears in the Download menu.
3. Go to Dorothy Browser page in the Android market.
4. Click ‘install’. That’s it. Dorothy Browser is ready on your iphone.

STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION

Step1. Check the prerequisite condition for installation.

Step2. Download the cab file at our download page.
If you downloaded the cab file directly to your device,
skip step 3 ~ 5 and go straight to step 6.

Step3. Connect your mobile device to your desktop.
- Connect it with the USB cable.
- Wait for Active Sync connection completion.

Step4. Copy the cab file and paste it into your mobile device.

Step5. Disconnect your mobile device from your desktop.

Step6. Execute the copied cab file on your device.
- After all, Dorothy Browser icon will appear in the programs list.
